Cretan origin
The Evergetikon
endemic herb Malotira of Crete, is a
traditional Cretan drink as well as a medicinal herb. With antioxidant,
antibacterial, antispasmodic, diaphoretic and anti-inflammatory properties, it
strengthens the immune system.
Acts as an
anti-inflammatory, bacteriostatic, antimicrobial beneficial for the stomach and
respiratory system. The antioxidant,
tonic and anxiolytic properties and the valuable flavonoid substances with
various pharmacodynamic actions contribute to the good health of the heart. In contemporary pharmaceutical science used for new generation drugs as a memory
enhancer.
For the
preparation, heat water in a pan, as soon as the boiling starts, add the Malotira
(in 200ml water 1 gr) and leave it for a
few seconds, take it off the heat and leave it covered for 3-5 minutes.
Drink cold,
if you want add a little honey.
